I am now Mister Sally Perks. Or rather, Sally is now Missus Sally Wood. (I really like calling her that) I still can't believe it, but I am finding that I am really enjoying being married! Our honeymoon wasn't as long as I might have liked it to be, but I've promised Sally a proper honeymoon after the season ends. Which means I have plenty of time to plan it so that it's perfect! |

Not much looooooonger! Bailey can't stop talking about the wedding and I'm excited, too. It's going to be awesome.
Am I allowed to say that? That my wedding and everything is going to be awesome? Merlin, I feel like there's still so much to do and I'm a bit at a loss, but I know it'll all come together. Right? |

We received Bailey's flower girl dress today. She tried it on, so we could make sure it fit correctly-- and she loves it. I could hardly get her to take it off! I think she would still be wearing it if it hadn't been for Charlotte explaining that it was for a very magical occasion. Of course, there was more to it than that, I'm sure, but they went off for some girly fun of some sort.
I still can't quite believe that the wedding is coming up so quickly. I can't wait! |

Well, I do wish we'd been able to win against Puddlemere, but I suppose it could have been worse. At least it was a close game.
Aside from that, it's been a good, if a bit quiet day. Spent today at my parents' house, where Bailey was completely spoiled. |

So with Quidditch starting up soon, I've been sending Bailey to a half-day preschool. She just started at the beginning of January, and she loves it so far- she seems to be learning a lot, and she's making a lot of friends.
Only thing is, I hear she has a boyfriend. At least there was a little boy there that she hugged and kissed (okay, on the cheek) when I came to pick her up this afternoon. The teacher says that they're practically inseparable. I mean, they're all of three years old, so how serious can it be, right? But Merlin, if she's starting this young, how am I ever going to survive the next twelve years?
Really, though, it was quite adorable. BUT SHE IS THREE. |

Now that the season's over, I think I want to take a vacation. After the holidays, of course. I think I'll take Bailey somewhere awesome- I don't know where yet, or what, exactly, but I think it'd be good for her to start travelling while she's still young. I just..I want good memories for her.

Most of the time I still feel like I have no idea what I'm doing, being a da. Sometimes I wonder what on earth I did to deserve her- she's so good, so perfect, and I love her more than anything. I want everything for her, wish I could give her everything she could possibly want or need. I just hope I'm doing well. |

Dinner tonight with the family- it's hard to believe that my baby sister is turning twenty today! Makes me feel old; I suppose I really was ten when she was born. Sweet Merlin, how did all that time pass so quickly?
Which also reminds me. Bailey's birthday is also fast approaching and I've gotta figure out what to do for her party and all, too! |

So with Chad gone back to sea, what on Earth are we going to do with the empty pirate ship in the back yard? Bailey keeps asking if she can play in it and I'm starting to wonder if we can just turn it into a giant playhouse for her.

That was the best father's day ever! Bailey and I got to spend some amazing quality time together- we don't always get to spend as much time together as I'd like, though I definitely do try my best. It isn't easy, being a single da, but I'm lucky, I think, to have such supportive friends and family.
So thank you, Eddie, Chad, Scottie- and to an extent, Charlotte and Morag- for all of your help and just..everything. I owe you lot so much. |

Summer is finally here, and I've been teaching Bailey how to swim. She's doing really well so far, though it's still mostly paddling in the shallow bits of the pond. We've also been spending a lot of time outside and she absolutely loves it.
I can't believe she's almost three. She's growing up so fast-- and we'll have to plan an epic birthday party for her this year. We've until November, but still! |
